Meet Steve Ryan

Steve has spent most of his professional career in the petrochemical industry. In 1971, he founded Impact Plastics in the 4,300 square foot bay of a manufacturing building in New Britain, Connecticut. For the past 20 years, Steve and Dave have worked hard together with dedication and perseverance, developing Impact into the industry leader it is today. Steve is currently an active member of Impact’s board of directors and continues to engage in sales and account management services. Steve received his bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and his MBA from Boston University.

Fun Facts

• Steve is a U.S. Army veteran and he attended college through the GI bill.
• He founded Impact with his first piece of equipment: a re-built 1950s Egan extrusion line.
• He has 7 grandkids.
• He is a recently retired director of Connecticut River Bank.
